Default Leaky Hard Tops

Hey guys.....i know this has probably been covered here before, but i am just wondering as to what some of you have done with your leaking hard tops if the dealership hasnt been able to fix the problem. Mines leaking heaps bad atm, and am just waiting for it to get fixed, but im very optmistic as to if they can fix it. Im not interested in ever putting the soft top back back on, and not real worried in the hard top never comes off again, just wondering if you's hard some ideas as to fixing the problem!!
Cheers for any help

If you are permanent then any silicon base RTV sealant will ensure it never leaks again.

From memory I thought there was a pretty high success at the dealership for fixing the hardtop leaks with new seals.

Matt.

I use the black duct tape (not gaffa tape), it is like 1.5" wide electrician tape. Just clean the front, back and middle joints with rubbing alcohol, secure the tape at one end and stretch to the other end and then slowly rub it down.

Seals well, and is easy to remove if you take of the front half of the roof, and cheap to replace as well.

Where is it leaking from? Find out where it is coming in from and put some window sealant there or if you can't find it just apply on all the joints. This should stop the leaks as long as you don't take the roof off and break the seal and if done neatly you won't even notice it. Jeep howver should replace the seals for you if you have the right approach and prove it leaks.

Mine will be in at the dealer for 2 days next week for them to spend a bit of time on it too see where it is coming in.Mine leaks down the windscreen pillars in between the black shrowds that run down them on both sides of the windscreen and then down the inside of the front doors and of course the dash area.

After the rain we had on the weekend carpet starting to smell pretty bad.......phew
