Hi guys!
I think this is my first post on this forum, and I have to start by saying that this seems to be great forum!
Im from Norway, so its not always easy to find the right words to use when explaining
I hope you guys can point me in the right direction with my Jeep's problem. It has a tendensy to "overheat" when driving in steep hills in low speeds, and on realy hot days. A realy hot day in Norway is 27-30C, so a lot less then it would be in Australia
When I say overheat I mean it gets close to 100C, so not realy overheating, but a lot warmer then my friends 2,7crd WJ.
When I bought the Jeep 4 years ago it wasn't like this. I have tried pretty much everything, but nothing helps.. What I've done is:
-replaced steering box, radiator, servopump, "new" solenoid, thermostat, 3xECT sensor and ac condensator.
I've found out that the hydraulic fan runs like it should when using it to cool the AC, but with that turned off the fan hardly spins when the engine is abow the 90C mark. When ideling, the fan stops when turning the wheel, but does not show any sign of loosing speed when doing the same when the AC is on... I talked to a mechanic at a Jeep dealership, and he said that if the fan spins up more when hot and when putting it in reverse it could be the ecu for the gearbox, but tested this and no change.
Sorry for the long post and possibly bad discription of the problem, but im at my wits end here:/
Thank you in advace for any answers
