Update - airbag inflator replaced.
No obvious signs that the interior trim had been tampered with at all.
The funny thing was that the dealer (sales) staff said to me that they had been doing these recalls for over a year. I wanted to ask them why it was not done as part of preparing the vehicle for sale...
They did close to $4000 worth of work on it as part of that. New rear rotors etc...

A year later, my horn still doesn't work after the clockspring recall was done.
I've started resorting to calling them a couple of times a week to annoy them until it gets replaced... Again.
I can't remember who it is who has the sig line, "I no longer question Authority, I annoy it. Less effort, more effect." Or something like that.

Isn't a horn a roadworthy requirement? How on earth can they stuff you around for 1 year? Have you tried social media?

Yes it is. And I have pointed this out to them.
I don't use social media.*
*Except for commenting on Computerworld Shark Tank** occasionally.
**Nothing to do with the TV show by the same name, and predating it by a couple of decades.
