Now, bearing in mind that I have the 4.7L V8, I use IZFR6F-11 under the newer numbering system, or BCPR6EIX-11 under the older system which mine are numbered under. You'd be chasing IFR5 or BCPR5EIX to the best of my knowledge. I use the resistor plugs to reduce radio crackle.

yeah, understood.......just curious which type of resistance plug your using,
there is a large difference in ohmic value between the the two..Z v R. Looking at the old and new number system, your plugs are 'R' type resistance.
Yes, resistor plugs for reducing RFI, though I understand modern ignition systems sense the resistance and wont work correctly without that type of plug (not sure what years this was implemented though, (overall, not just a jeep thing).

Good point, introduction was based mainly around the change to individual plug top coils. The time varies with manufacturers.
