After kicking tools and nuts and bolts around the shed floor for about 2 months, finally spent some jeep time on the heep.

Gearbox back in, new thrust bearing and clip on the clutch fork, new oil in box. Get the transfer in next weekend then order tailshafts

Help needed.

Got my rear diff rebuilt by the trainees at the RAEME School, and when i've gone to fill it up prior to install i've found that they've managed to put one of the outer seals in back to front. Is there any way to get the retaining ring off without wrecking either the ring or the bearing and seal?

Cheers

Default ..then bend backwards and contort impossibly!

I had a full on day! Visited Wooders twice for a fan blower resistor and front sway bar link. Bought a torque wrench to install my sway bar link and found out I only have metric sockets *facejeep* Any one have a, like, 7/16th 1/2" socket bit? :P
In other news, my fan now blows on High, medium AND low *happydance*
And I 'adjusted' my accelerator. I used to be able to hover my foot over the accelerator and slide my foot sideways UNDER the brake. No mechanic seems to have a problem with this though. I fixed it good and proper like with a cable tie! I also had a chance to practise my yoga
