Default Installing CRDSTU/Murchison lift kit Question

Hi All

I'm in the middle of installing the CRDSTU/Murchison 2.5-3" lift kit on my WH and I have a question for people who have done this before.

1. Do I reuse the factory bottom rubber spring perch bush? or spring straight onto the bilstein metal perch?

2. At which position do it put the circlip for the spring perch? Does this lift come from the spring or from the new position of the spring perch on the shock body?

Thanks for you help.

Dave

You must use the rubber bush.

circlip for the spring perch? lost me on that one?
When I did mine they were OME struts, no adjustment on them.

Ok cheers Clarky,
On the Bilsteins the spring perch can be moved on the strut. It is located via a cir clip in a groove. The Bilsteins instructions state 0.75" lift. Lower groove 1.25" Middle and for 2" top one. But from what I understand these are on the idea you are reusing the standard springs. The new springs are slightly taller then the stock ones, but that is not really important it is how much they sag under weight. If I use the 2" groove and the springs also provide lift, I could easily get too much lift and top out the shocks.

Dave,
I have Bilstein 5100's in mine with a 45mm lifted spring. They have the adjustable circlip/perch.

I did not fit my new suspension but have looked a couple of times trying to work out which setting was used. I'm pretty sure its in the Middle position.

Maybe someone who's actually installed the 5100's themselves can confirm.

Cheers.

PS. No Bullbar on mine.

Thanks everyone for your help and input.

Valpacer sorted me out.
Lowest setting, lift comes from the springs.

Cheers Dave
