Default Clunking noise when turning left

Hey guys, just trying to identify a loud clunk noise from front end when turning left (i think ONLY left..) at slow speeds. Google search revealed a bunch of possible causes but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Cheers!

Have you looked at the CV joints to see if they are ok, and the boots not split

Thanks for the reply. The boots seem to be in really good nick, can they fail without the boot being damaged?

I had a CV start to freeze up on me, I was nun the wiser until I pulled it out and it was too stiff to move by hand. Could not tell by looking at it.

Yes, absolutely. First step in diagnosis is to get under the car while it's up on stands and try to wriggle the CV's to look for play, then check the ball joints on both sides as well as the sway bar links. Last of all check the steering box, I had mine start making loud clacking noises one day and a few days later it froze up solid while trying to do a U-turn. [emoji30]

I had that 3-4 years ago wasn't cv joints, it was either ball joints on the suspension arms, diff mounts, driveshaft rear cv joint...from memory
