Default 2009 Jeep GC 4.7L question Manual/Plugs

Hi guys,

I'm usually pretty good at googling but im over it.

I cant even tell from some sites if my Jeep is a WH or WK lol

I'm after is a service manual for it firstly, I would buy a haynes but its not for the exported version so $50 for the left hand version.

And I've got the 16 spark plug version and I can't get information anywhere on what plugs I should be using.

So far all I can find is;
OEM
Intake SPFR8TE2AA
Exhaust SPFR8TI332

NGK
Intake LZFR5CI11
Exhaust PLZFR5B13EG

Bosch
Intake FR8Te2
Exhaust FR8TI332

Champion
Intake 446 / 439-RC12MCC4
Exhaust 9055

All the above has been just about useless because so far the local auto stores (Recpo,Supercheap) don't have a clue what im on about let alone 16 plugs.

So what have you used? Mopar form Dealer? how much did it cost you? did you have to replace the boots on the exhaust side?

thanks IA

WH here, WK in the US. That’s the first problem you’re going to run into.

Bearing that in mind you can find what you need on www.rockauto.com or Morris4x4 or you can go local to a Jeep specialist mechanical service such as Seven Slot Off-road in Brisbane.

Hi guys

Thanks for your help

Repco just quoted me $368 exhaust and $198 for intake!

Surely that's taking the P155? Anyone help me out with what it should coat for both sets of plugs?

A guy on eBay is quoting $298 in the NGK's

Thanks

Hey JGC09

I'm no 4.7 Jeep expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt
Someone else may have better technical knowledge of this engine

It's been my experience that dual plug designs are all about emission reduction
The plug nearest the exhaust valves fire after the main event to reduce unburnt fuel
Because of the higher temps this plug is subjected too it's always more expensive
So start by replacing the plugs closest to the inlet side and see if they make a difference

Cheers
