Default CRD -- tapping boost for gauge

In the midst of installing a Redarc EGT & Boost Pressure gauge with oil pressure display (G52-BEP). Tapping the exhaust for the EGT was no dramas. But the boost and the oil pressure are providing some challenges.

Would like to retain the dash warning light for low oil pressure as well as having the Redarc display tell me what the psi is. (Belt and braces approach.) Problem: where the oil pressure sensor goes in, it is really tight. No room to T off the existing sensor. Any ideas?

No idea what the best place to put the sensor is for boost.

Any thoughts from fellow JK CRD owners? Pictures much appreciated.

Run a block plate with a small braided hose connecting it., Relocate the sensor and have another port for the factory oil pressure unit.
The best place for turbo boost is to tap the manifold. But a more easier thing to do would be to drill and take the mouth of the throttle control unit (Throttle body)

Many thanks. Tapping the manifold looked like the obvious way to go with the boost sensor. Just wondered if there was any better alternative I was missing.

I think I understand on the oil pressure sensor. It'd be great if you had a quick snap of yours off the camera phone or suchlike to post just to be sure. I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed about this stuff.

Braided hose from this plate to the engine block, and install both fittings onto this block.

There is a section of the manifold to throttle body that can be removed pretty easy (4 hex style bolts) remove that and tap it there.
The rest of the intake system runs rubber/silicone hoses, there is no easy way to install a nipple.

Have you had a good look along the main oil gallery? Most engine blocks will have additional plugs to make the engine more maintainable - and to assist with the removal of sand / swaf after casting/machining. Around the oil cooler and filter bypass there is usually one as well

Also, be very cautious not to leave swaf in the intake manifold. Given that the material is aluminium, the old magnetic screw driver trick wont work so you will need to use a vacuum cleaner through the throttle body. Duct tap a section of garden hose to the end.
