Funny thing is Honda built these to show that they could build a Guzzi but better, quite advanced with water cooling, shaft drive, cylinders twisted slightly to keep the carbs away from the riders legs and the gearbox spinning the opposite way to the crank to stop that lean that shaft drives get when revved

Compared to the Guzzis of the same vintage the CX was more powerful and a bit quicker

Oh and the speed record at Bonneville for a pushrod under 500cc bike is held by a CX, the Buells just cant keep up

One of my favourite parts about it is, if my memory serves, that there is only something like 27 moving parts in the motor/box!

looks awesome.. i think a heat wrapped exhuast would finnish it up nicely.. staying with the cafe racer theme.

I probably will wrap the headers at some point but when it's closer to finished.

Laid the stripe on the seat pod, the finishing touch for the bodywork.
