Default Changing fuel filter and cracking bleed valve

Guys, a quick question about changing the fuel filter and bleeding the system.

I've done a search but I have a couple of quick questions.

I can't seem to work out how to insert pics so I think I've uploaded them.

The fuel filter bracket has what looks like an allen/hex key screw on the side which I assume needs to be loosened. As it sits behind the bracket for the plastic engine cover (which I don't have anyway) I was wondering if anyone knows the size of the allen/hex screw so I can get the old filter out?

Also, the bleed valve. I know I need to crack that to bleed to system. I have a pump prime fitted to the firewall, but I can't seem to work out how to open the bleed vale. I've seen on line it says "move it in the direction of the arrow" but I can't see an arrow. I assume this is the white collar as opposed to the black plug itself?

Hopefully pics are attached.

Many thanks.

I only had luck once using it, next time I needed to bleed the system, I had to fiddle around with a screwdriver to release the cap.

That's the bleed valve? I am wary of forcing it too much in case it breaks. So you fiddled with the white collar?

What about the hex/allen screw on the fuel filter housing?

Thanks.

With a small flat screwdriver you can fiddle around to release the cap, if I remember right the white collar has 4 tabs which you would have to press to release.

The allen screw is most likely 5 or 6 mm.

The allen screw is 5mm.

As you have a prime pump, just prime the new fuel filter before you connect the fuel line that goes to the low pressure fuel pump.
You should be able to start the engine without having to touch the bleed valve.

To remove the plug on the bleed valve just support the white collar and plug out.

Then plug back in.

Thanks for this mate. It's also a five sided allen screw as opposed to the normal six by the look of it.
