Default Fitting Air Lift Bags to WH

Hi, I'm after information on how difficult it is to fit air lift bags to my WH I need extra support in the suspension for towing a caravan.
Can a handy man fit them? and is there much involved, I have all the gear that I think it would take to do the job.
Hope someone can help, thanks.
Alden

I fitted a pair of AIRBAG MAN ones to my WH, only needed to drill a hole to feed the air line through, no probs. Had to remove the control arm on L/H side though as it would not allow the diff to drop enough to get the spring out, R/H side was no problem. It has 2"lift fitted.

As said above, very easy to fit. There are 2 sizes, one for std springs, and one for 2" lifted springs.

I had a set of polyairs many moons ago in mine, worked great with the ARB springs. Cause they sagged badly under load..

Default WH Air Bags

I fitted a set from Air Bag Man, $300 delivered just a month ago. Fairly simple as the other guys are saying. Just jack the car high and block under the chassis remove the wheel/s, undo the shocks to allow the axle to drop. I used a small jack to control the axle. You need to take care of the brake lines and as suggested maybe remove the control arm to allow the spring to be removed. No need for a spring compressor. Follow the instruction, drill the hole where suggested and refit the spring. Take care when positioning the air hose to minimise the risk of the spring pinching it under extreme load. Route the air hoses to a suitable accessible spot and you are done.

FYI I am towing a 2.5 tonne offroad caravan with no level rides and found the combination looked great when levelled with the bags and towed really comfortably. I probably still need to replace the soft shockers to iron out big bumps and dips a bit.
