It's a Qld thing I reckon! I pretty much do the same thing. Especially over the past few years Qld summers have been rain, rain and more rain with stinking hot days in between. Sun burns too hot in summer, so soft top on in winter and drop the top on our 21 degree 'cold' winter days. Gotta love living in paradise!

each to their own but paradise to me is 10 degrees, snow capped mountains in the distance, moss, rain dripping off fern fronds, frog calls.. paradise.

when it gets to 30 degrees I start to melt

Coming from the UK and then spending 28 years in NZ I think the QLD winter will be about as good as the NZ summer once the day heats up, most summer mornings in NZ were 5-10 deg with a avg high of 20 and I drove the lotus most days and even through the NZ winter.

This is topless winter driving
