Default KJ Cherokee Thud problem

Hi guys,

When i am driving and cruising i hear a thud when i left off the accelerator. Its almost like something kicks the underside of the car.

Can also happen when i have stopped at lights and i release the brake to take off.

Fine when constant throttle just when i lift off.

It is probably the rear drive shaft slip yoke, it is binding an just needs to be lubricated. This is not in the service manual but its something that should be done at least annually.

There have been incidents of the front diff pumpkin hitting the chassis if I recall. It could worth a look at that. Apparently it can move enough to cause what you describe.
