Default Meryla State Forest (near Moss Vale/bowral)

This is a good little spot to check out if you in the area... awesome views and can be easily accessed in a stocker (even something like a rav 4)....although there are some harder tracks...

There is an excellent lookout at:

UTM
56 259831E
6158331N
WSG84

just follow the main track over 3 small bridges and a tiny creek and through 1 green gate and your there. The views are much better further up the track but you'll need some clearance. (couldn't continue up the track in a CJ8 because i need a new uni joint on the front driveshaft..hence no 4WD) so i'll be back to explore in more detail in a week or so.

its state forest at meryla (no camping unfourtunately.... but who is to say you not a night time shift worker stopping for lunch a 1:00am? he he he) but that lookout is actually about 80m into morton national park (not sure about camping there...but there would be no room to camp at this particular place anyway) its an awesome spot, not far from sydney... have you been to the blue mountains via wombyan caves? you can camp and its similar scenery.
