Was also waiting for the new JL here in UK BUT they've stuck well over £10 grand ($18,000 aus) on the price
Was also looking forward to the rumoured VM 3.0CRD
Cant see the current low displacement 2 litre offerings being welcomed especially by you guys who load up for those long 'outback' camping trips !
Can fix / replace an awful lot of worn out parts on my current 2007 built JKU for a fraction of the cost of what Fiat are wanting for a JL.
Will probably only consider one now if they offer huge discounts to shift unsold stock from their port of entry parking lots in the future.

It's the same with the Ford Ranger here, it's been going head to head with the Hilux in sales but now they have introduced a 2 litre alongside the 3.2L. I think sales will drop right off once the 2L is the only choice. Small capacity motors aren't in our DNA no matter how good they are. They just have to work too hard.

I think Jeep will struggle to sell the diesel JL here without the 3.0L. I know I was looking forward to one but now, if I buy, it will be the 3.6L petrol.

If you get the option
Only option in UK is the 2.0T petrol of Fiat 2.2 Diesel
NO 3.6 V6 to be offered.

That's interesting. I wonder why?

I believe the Australian specs are out sometime in November.

I really hope that Fiat Chrysler Aust. aren't that short sighted. To import a small capacity diesel and no petrol version would surely kill off any decent sales numbers here.

"That's interesting. I wonder why? "

Emissions of that colourless odourless gas that does nothing but feed plants CO2
EU is killing the car industry
Sooner we depart the better & cancel the Climate Change Act our clueless politicians installed as an act of Parliament in 2008 to carbon tax us into the ground
Plus the JL Rubicons are not the same spec as the US ones.

If you follow the current UK / EU offerings you will be offered a petrol but its a 2 litre Turbo.
Hope the hell you guys do get offered a RHD V6 3.6L which will mean it may be available for UK at some point.
