hey mat, just urethane a bit of rubber onto your lock stops instead, no tampering mechanically that way.
My understanding is when you lift the car the the whole diff and axle move towards the drivers side, which is why they recommend it.

Send some pics of the lock stops.

With our lifts their not a big lift you can get away without the trackbar but to keep it aligned it is recommended, the reason troy didnt want to sell you a trackbar is because they dont have one.
Theres no need for one all you have to do is custom make a bracket to bolt on in between the chassis and the trackbar.

Steering damper on WJ from my experience makes a big difference I had a rancho which did the job but the 4way spring damper which I purchased from jacob at 4wd service made a huge difference especially when you align the steering wheel which is like getting a normal wheel alignment, and steering comes back to centre like a normal car.

thats what i thought, ive always run dampers on modded trucks especially with big wheels, troy was saying he had just replaced the four way one on chris s truck with on that was modded from a tj ,he did mention that they didnt have one for a wg/wj as the import ones dont swap from left to right.
ive seen those brackets as well teraflex make them but they dont swap from left to right either.
no clearence problems with the 4way? will it clear your new diffcover? did the 4way fit straight out of the box or did you mod it?

The diff is on the passenger side and the damper is on the driver side, and estimated instal time of 5min, 3min took to drive up and down my street to get the steering centred by adjusting where the spring sits, instructions are provided and the price I got it for from jacob no one can beat, oh and definitely no mods to instaling it.

Well for me the driver's side front wheel is rubbing on the bolt at the top of this
don't know what it's called except that it's part of the swaybar connecting it to the suspension.
So what i was thinking is that if i removed that linkage and spun it around so that it was bending the other way, away from the wheel, it wouldn't rub anymore.
But that sounds too simple
So what are the problems with doing that?

And while i'm at it, to disconnect the sway bar do i need to undo that linkage on both sides or only one side?

i was happy with jacob with my springs/shocks so ill be getting onto him when i decide to get the damper,he recomends the 4way over the rancho. .
ROACHY,gave you a bum steer on the adjustable locks, the ones on my cj6 are adjustable ,the ones on the wj are not, when you look at the front diff from the front, the stoplocks stick out of the botom front of the swivel hubs these touch the axle tubes on full lock ,urethane a piece of rubber either on the horn or where the horn contacts the axle tube.

Only reason Troy (Mr. Superstar here on the forum) replaced my dampner was because I smacked it on a rock at Menai and broke the damn thing...Needed one ASAP and Suburban is just down the road from where I work...It does tuck a little better than the 4Way but I really liked it and had no real complaints with it.
