At this stage I would propose the run closer to the end of April to allow for other activities (weddings, easter, Camp Coffs etc), say Sunday 22nd.

As for the location;

- the Pines is a good run with some mud, dirt and decomposing limestone, goods ruts and climbs. (Free) 30 mins from CBD

- Old Coach Rd is always a stable performer with a mixture of ruts, rocks, creek crossings and the play pen. (Free) 1 and a bit hours north of CBD

- Citiview, dont know until after the Muster. 50 mins from CBD

- Landcruiser Mountain Park, excellent place with everything you could want. ($22 for the day pass) 2 to 2 1/2 hours north of CBD

Will be good to have a convoy of Grands on the Highway to the destination point.

i'm considering... can't decide. It's my uncle's 50th, mates normally go for a double island point trip round then and it'll work out to be pretty expensive too

This sounds great. I will be keen to go if the dates work.

Grand Day Out - sounds like Wallace and Gromit. Good name though!

Talking Grand Day Out - (Thanks MRGC)

All,

At this stage the April date is still penciled in for the "Grand Day Out" and the location is still TBA.

May well see some of you at the Jeep Muster at Citiview at the end of the month and can discuss further.

The more Grands the merrier and I will do a trip report/write up and gather the pics of the day and we will submit to JAA for consideration.
