Default Ball joint question

So I have the synergy ball joints installed in me JK, and I've been doing a few mud runs and sand stuff lately, and I wanted to know generally if I should be squirting some extra grease in there afterwards to prolong their life a bit?

I'm guessing but sometimes more is not always better, the boots on these things seem to move a fair bit when you have packed them right up with grease..and they do seperate from the joint a bit.. Anyone else find this as well?

Also on a side note did the powerlines again today- mad fun, even let the wifey have a good go at some of the climbs as well

Cheers Mick

Mine were lubed when installed and then again after 10,000km (Just a squirt or two).

They're lasting longer than factory did and it isn't because they're greaseable.

Anything greasable you should generally always put in more grease until you see it to start coming out of the rubber boot, especially after mud or water runs

Full is good, but excess attracts crud so is to be avoided. So pump until it comes out the boots ( clears out the old grease and crud ) give the boots a squeeze to clear excessive grease and wipe away so that the external surfaces are clean. After your first serious drive a but more grease may have squeezed out due to the movement of the balls in the sockets - just wipe this off.

The standard balljoints are pathetic the Synergy ones are a huge improvement from what i can see however i've only done a few thousand km on mine so i'm going on others feedback

It doesn't take an engineer to tell you that the stock joints are intended for stock stresses ie: stock tyres, stock rims, stock ride height, standard v6 engine, standard plastic bumpers and mainly road use. Afterall, when you're Chrysler, it isn't good business to over-engineer things.

I wish I'd fitted Synergy ball joints sooner. There would have been alot less drama!! (this is referring to the axle ball joints)

Just found out I need new ball joints today. Are the synergy ball joints the way to go? Also if the uppers are flogged is it best to replace the lowers as well?
