Did you get it from the dealer with that wheel and tyre combo on it? then take it back to the dealer and ask them to explain.

Nop, love it... I drive it as normal and don't feel too much roll at all.. I actually have a bit of fun with the little weight shift, and that only happens when I play on bends and round abouts... no speeding involved, just little stopping to have momentum and use the shift of the weight to manouver the car...
With the cheese cutters on, you feel it a little more than with the 33's on..

The onlyset measrement published by Chrysle for the unlimited, is over all height and the Soft top height......1,865

From the Dot hand book

"Lowering or raising of vehicles
The road clearance of a fully laden vehicle must not be
less than 100mm measured at any part of the vehicle
other than the wheel rim or brake backing plates.
(This does not apply where a lesser clearance has been
specified by the manufacturer.)
When lowering or raising a vehicle body (front or rear),
the following additional restrictions are based on the
manufacturer's dimensions for the standard unmodified
vehicle while unladen:
• The ride height measured between the rubber bump
stop and the corresponding metal stop may be reduced
by no more than one third.
• The rebound travel measured between the rubber
rebound stop and the corresponding metal stop
(or the extension of the shock absorber for vehicles
without a rebound stop) may be reduced by no
more than one third.
Queensland Transport,"

I can't get my head around the rebound travel yet, but a two inch lift is what they ask you when they pull you over(from experiance).
I believe 1,865 is generious as they would allow for variation during maufacture.
So 1865 +50(lift)+15 tyres makes 1930mm.
I have a 2.5 inch lift plus 22.8 inch tyres(ilegal by 4.6mm) and mine measures 1900.
So aleast I can show them the hand book and rip out the tape if they get uptight about the lift.
Cheers...........Shane

The rebound travel is the difference in height from where it sits at rest with stock suspension to full suspension droop (shocks extended to full length - in other words jack it up by the frame until the wheels almost lift off the ground).

I can even tell you the JK stock suspension statistics too

Front Bump Stop distance Stock = 53mm
Front Rebound Distance Stock = 97mm
Total front travel = 150mm

Rear Bump stop distance Stock = 67mm
Rear Rebound distance Stock = 88mm
Total rear travel = 155

So for the 1/3 rule, 32.3mm lift front and 29.3mm lift rear applies. HAH - what a joke!

275/70 17 is the biggest legal size on a pre 2010 model.
