I've been debating getting one too, looks easy enough for an exhaust mob to knock up, however finding one that'd do it for a decent price is the problem, so for under 200 bucks it's a bargain and saves the hassle, plus a little bit of turbo whistle would be nice, apart from a little bit of diesel clatter at idle (only really notice it in a drive through, right next to the wall), mines silent.

HPF used to do one for $95 there was some talk of HP gains but never verified. I had one fitted when ECU was tuned. There had been a few reports of the original intake muffler failing and intercooler hoses coming off.

Searching for this thread reminded me of all the drama associated with my ECU reflash.

I reckon you would get HP gains if the plumbing was done sensibly, there's a lot of restrictive bits in this set up of pipes, just looks like an afterthought and how to fit it.

When we can drive again let us know if the steel pipe actually delivers any performance improvement. For $195 plus postage you'd hope the difference would be substantial, meanwhile I remain unconvinced but open minded
The missus said she can't hear or feel any difference when she drives it to work. Then again, she normally has the stereo up so loud, you can't even hear the Cooper ST Max's drone

The quick trip around the block that I took it on I did hear the turbo more but any power gains (if any) would be too hard to notice by the seat of my pants.

Changed the running lights and fog lights to led's. The fogs took a whole 2 mins to do, the running lights are in there tight, moved the coolant overflow and intake pipe, enough room to get my big hands in there. Looks much better than the yellowish OEM lights.

I'll snap some pics maybe tomorrow or Monday. Am painting the chrome grill, and other chrome bits with this Graphite Metallizer stuff I picked up, too much chrome. Then it'll need a wash as it's filthy from the 8 drops of rain yesterday and this morning.
This things had more washes already than the poor old WJ had in all the years I had it
