Out wheeling for the day on Easter Monday.

No one else in the whole park (that we saw) and just so many black wallabies. Every second or third corner or crest and there would be black wallabies hopping away. Who needs a zoo!?

Default finally

took her out for her first test today towing the van. Shot up the road about an hour to Traralgon to see how she liked the hills and the wind.

kept an eye on the gearbox temp which didnt go over 95. Turned off eco mode and just let her do her thing. I manually dropped her back to 6 and 7 a couple of times just to get used to things. Head wind coming home had her kick back to 7 and stay there for a while it was that strong. She ate up the hills and sat at 105 - 110 in the hills. We certainly won the caravan race, not that I was trying to.

Fuel was around 12.5.

The new to us van wasnt fully loaded, (dry weight), but I had started to load the front boot of the van with gear which saw it up around 170kg over the ball. That should come back a bit when its wet and there is a bit more weight over the axles.

All in all considering the $hitty beginning with the car I have a gained a bit of confidence back in the big girl.

trying to upload a pic or two

Hi KJ RIDER
I have the same mirrors on my set up, tried them on the top of the side mirror but fell off at 100k/hr and did not break. Now mounted to the bottom surface of the mirror, no more problems. FYI I always tow in sport mode as it holds the gears better under load and kick down response seems a bit quicker. Automatically turns off ECO mode when in sport mode.
Regards
