Default 2012 WK Transmission Service

Hi, just did a Filter and Fluid change on my 2012 WK 3.0 CRD. Just wondering about the Fluid Capacity, it states that it takes 5lts for a normal service, and when I drained the tranny it only had 4lts in it? Couldn’t see any leaks around the tranny, but prior to the service I noticed when reversing the Jeep seems to rev quite high to go up a small incline? I’ve read about checking the fluid level and I’ve ordered a dipstick to do this, but I used an old dipstick that I had to check the level after the service and it seems to be in the tolerance that they specify for the tranny temp etc. The Jeep seems to drive okay but when reversing it still seems to slip? I put 4lts back into it, but then I tried putting another 1/2 a litre extra in and it still drove okay, didn’t do anything weird and gear changes were smooth, and when reversing it didn’t rev as high, just wondering if I should put in the 5lts like the service notes state?
Anyone had any experience with this?

I would wait till I get the correct dipstick.Should in the end fill and check dipstick at nominated atf temp as per info .Had an idiot overfill mine by 1.5 litres when under warranty.Blew atf out of the dipstick hole,Blamed his apprentice!

Hi folks.
New to the site.

Just recently became a jeep owner back in November 2022,
bought a 2012 Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6 V6 5 speed auto
with 132,000 on the clock
at Grays online auctions for $15,000 after Site Fee's.

What is the deal with not having a trany dip stick?
and is it ok to leave it in when i finally track one down?
