Default JK Yellow defect notice NSW

Hi guys,

I have a friend that has given the yellow defect sticker for his suspension and tyres being higher than allowed.

this is a first for me to know someone recieving a defect, so im looking for advice/assistance/suggestions as to how to get it cleared. im reading he requires to get a blueslip showing legal hieght?

He has a rancho lift kit and 35" tyres, maybe putting on stock tyres may be enough to clear it, i need to source standard JK wheels?

Any help would be appreciated.

My mates I believe is 2” lift, how much does it cost to get engineered and what’s involved?

NSW

Like Victoria, vehicles registered in NSW can now be lifted up to 75mm with a maximum of 50mm diameter (25mm lift) and 50mm from suspension.

Section 3.1 of the following:
http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/...ide-height.pdf

https://thelapyear.com/state-by-stat...es-suspension/

Engineering is very expensive and time consuming. Usually involves a lane change test at a track.

Remember, the max lift in NSW of 75mm includes any lift that your tyres give you. So if you add 50mm diameter to your tyres, your going to add 25mm lift to your vehicle, which allows a legal 50mm lift to be added.

In WA, im pretty sure we still have the 50mm total lift law. Thats why i always keep a spare set of wheels/tyres and suspension in my garage.

Cheers,

2” lift will be ok, 35” tyres not so.

He will need smaller tyres.
