Most aftermarket screens can be had for 200 dollars or less installed.
I doubt If you well get a genune one for anywhere near that. All depends how much you want the little Jeep graphics on the lower edge.

Genuine Screens use a thicker glass ? i know my VW german thingy that my better half drives has a considerably thicker glass for noise reduction, body rigidity etc. etc.

i have always had a thing about the glass being better if factory

Yeh, will be sad to lose it. haha.

How common are cracked windscreens in the JK. This is my first jeep and after 2 days of pretty hard wheeling i noticed the crack. Dont think it was from a chip just think it was from body stress...

Thoughts???

i had mine cracked the other week also from a stone chip driving out country...

i was sadened i couldnt get the little jeep graphic but if you have it covered on insurance they will come out and replace it.. only cost extra $20 i think to add it on your policy

Yeh thought about upgradin that coverage..... but how long should you wait to claim....haha

I did the windscreen in my 2013 Wrangler. Using the fact that the vehicle was still under factory warranty and that the aftermarket glass didn't have the Jeep stickers my insurance okayed a genuine Jeep windscreen but fitted by an after market glass company which they organized. All went well.
