What year model is yours?

Not sure about the older models, but on the 13+ just turn the light stalk to auto and voila.

Will also turn them off after a pre-defined time. Always get comments from people telling me I have left my lights on.

Is this standard or an option? Pretty sure my 13 JKU Sport doesn't have this.

Not to sure this would work on newer vehicles like the JK that are monitoring the globes. From memory it installs in the wiring to the headlight and you turn the lights on and leave them on and it switches the power through when required. I would imagine a bulb out warning when it disconnects power during the day.

Doubt that it will work on newer JKs. It'll probably trigger all sorts of warnings.

Auto headlight is standard on Overland and Rubicon. It's not available as an option for Sport. Probably something to do with software and additional hardware on these two models.

I Think it'll will be fine. At work our site vehicles are new Prados and Hiluxs and they are all wired for headlights to come on when started for site compliance. When the vehicle is stopped they turn off. The car isn't confused because the bcm see the light switch is off. I think this module would be the same but in reverse. Even though your light switch is on, you have turned the key off so the bcm will still think the headlights are off because the switch wire runs down the indicator stalk into the jay car box cutting the circuit. Kind of like having 2 switches next to each other. If you turn one off, the other one is also turned off. If you wire it up for auto on (DRL) just make sure the tail lights are wired in also.
