It will fail. For the smallest plot of 196sqm you will need to part with approx $700 per year every year whether you go or not. I dont think they realise how big Australia is... the is no access unless you have a lease.

Need to do a LCMP run I think before it closes.

Sent from a tiny mobile device with fat thumbs...

The new owners didn't state whether 4wd is allowed or not.

The price of progress I suppose?? That's why we're running to Tazzie!

I wouldn't be allow there either! Since I became allergic to sunlight, I usually dress like this when I'm out...

Only had chats with the police twice so far. They were very polite and I've had no problems from it.

"As a secular place, Crofters are Australians of any religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist belief. Indeed religious or celebrant weddings are welcome to be held within The Sanctuary, particularly in the Brisbane River Parkland areas."
Extract from their web page.

It seem to me you cannot build. You can fence off an area to grow weeds in the nude?
Well that's Hippie to me.

Secular means they are not picking sides with the activities they undertake there, hence the freedom to have weddings, bat mitzvahs, etc. The part that seems anti-Islamic is the reference to 'concealing the identity through clothing hoods or helmets' and then following with 'not a place of concealment and servitude'. This makes unclear reference to any activity that might create that environment, such as an Islamic-observant woman whom may be choose to wear a hijab/burhka in public, as an observance of the concealment applied to her faith regarding women in public.

This may also apply to the Gregorian monks, or the KKK, so by not making direct Islamic references they won't be attacked for discrimination.

You may be able to build something on your block. It does state that "approved structure" can be built. It sounds like the country club model without infrastructure to me more than anything now.
Can't really see how that will work given there are so many alternatives out there.

I like how it's closed 1 week a month. So effectively you cannot live there as an alternative to living in an expensive city. You only building a holiday home on land you don't own, and only able to go there 3 weeks a month.

Makes me wonder if you can ride a motorcycle there, or would you need to remove your helmet at the gate?
