I'm guessing it's been a while since you guys have driven a turbo 4 petrol... These days theyll amble along at low revs happily with plenty of torque, and you'd have to be trying to detect much lag. The auto transmissions fitted to most vehicles nowadays will be responsible for more 'lag' in performance than any turbocharger.

oh joy another zing dinger playing zippa de do da take a reaaaal long run up now ,
no matter how one trys 4 is 4 6 is 6 8 is 8 guess which ones use CHAINS for primary ?? NOT RUBBER BAND/S THANKYOU. you can keep your rubber bands for the road only .
oh bring back the days of F500 where you could run over trees and still keep going.
didn't see any rubber bands in anything like them.
lets all go eco !! AND WALK.
how strong are these little things ? or is it another cut weight cig paper thin where the only steel to be found is the driver because you need BIG ONES to stay alive in one. they should have a warning system where is blurts out ! "DONT LEAN ON ME I DINT EASY" not that they would carbon fibre any except maybe for the flippen dash.
oh yay to the eco driven yuppie "look at me" syndrome . I need fast to get up my drive way cause im late for home and away.

Smaller displacement turbo 4's normally have a bucket of torque down low, the 1.6lt Turbo Hyundai Tuscon (I use it as an example as I've driven it) has max torque at 1500rpm and a flat curve to 4500rpm, reminded me of a diesel that also liked to rev, 0-100 around 8.5 seconds (Tested) so about the same as the 3.6lt JK.

This 2.0lt engine sounds like it'll be a lot of fun on and offroad and I reckon it'll eat the current 6 for breakfast.

Cheers
Steve
