Default KL trailhawk classification

Recently I found that the Vehicle classification for KL TH is MA not AC.
FCA changed the classification for GC from MA to MC few months ago after complaints from existing or potential customers.
Anyone heard about the change or plan to change the classification for KL TH?
Under MA classification, I cannot put bigger tires...

Default KL trailhawk classification

Nope, been asking for a while and usually just get a blank look in return. The issue is the GC did have MC rating, but the KL never did. So I think it would be easier to get it back for the GC.

It is a pain, as to qualify for MC there are 5 qualifying characteristics and the vehicle has to meet at least 4. The KL Trailhawk exceeds all 5..

Just to add, this is the actual requirements:

4.3.3. OFF-ROAD PASSENGER VEHICLE (MC)

A passenger vehicle having up to 9 seating positions, including that of the driver and being designed with special features for off-road operation. A vehicle with special features for off-road operation is a vehicle that:
(a) Unless otherwise ‘Approved‘ has 4 wheel drive;
(TH has 4wd + low range + rear diff lock)
and
(b) has at least 4 of the following 5 characteristics calculated when the vehicle is at its ‘Unladen Mass‘ on a level surface, with the front wheels parallel to the vehicle’s longitudinal centreline, and the tyres inflated to the ‘Manufacturer‘s’ recommended pressure:
(TH exceeds all 5)
(i) ‘Approach Angle‘ of not less than 28 degrees;
(TH is 30 degrees)
(ii) ‘Breakover Angle‘ of not less than 14 degrees;
(TH is 23 degrees)
(iii) ‘Departure Angle‘ of not less than 20 degrees;
(TH is 32 degrees)
(iv) ‘Running Clearance‘ of not less than 200 mm;
(TH is 221mm clearance)
(v) ‘Front Axle Clearance‘, ‘Rear Axle Clearance‘ or ‘Suspension Clearance‘ of not less than 175 mm each.
(TH is 220mm front and 180mm rear at lowest point of suspension clearance)

So I say we need a petition to send to FCAA to update and backdate the KL TH to be a MC rated vehicle!

Hell, I don't even own a KL but I'll sign that petition. Wonder if the little Renegade would qualify as well?

I'll sign too... and yes the Renegade Trailhawk qualifies also.

It's kinda bullsh1t from FCA that they were too lazy/cheap to bother getting MC certification for vehicles they promote based on off road ability. The Nissan Dualis, Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5 (amongst many other surprise entrants) are MC certified for god's sake!

How about asking at www.Carsguide.com.au/ask-the-guide
I posted a question of Cherokee KL TH classification of MA even it meets all the requirements for MC classification but no reply was made.
If we send more of this question, they may check with FCA and some positive feedback...
