Default Advice wanted on tyres

Ok Im looking to replace the original 17" wheels and tyres on my 4dr and I'm hoping I'm on the right track.

The wheels
Rockcrawler 97 series 16x8 with 4.25 bask spacing

Tyres
Have been looking at 285/75/R16 MT ATZ 4 ribs

Would I have any issues with this setup? Scrubing? Sticking out arches?

I have an OME lift. The thing is I spend too much time on the black stuff
and hope to get around 70-80,000 Kms out of a set of 5.

I would love muddies but fear the would wear out too quickly.

Any help on the tyre selection brand/model would be great. Also good tyre shop in Melbourne?

Asking a lot i know and I know tyres come down to personal taste but would love to hear your opinions.

Cheers

Why are you changing from 17" to 16" ?.

Also, I read in the latest Jeep Action mag in an article by Tony Whitehead that MT ATZ 4Rib`s are currently his favourite tyre. He could be a good contact on the subject in Melbourne.

I'm hearing lots of good things about these ATZ's

I'm changing from 17" to 16" because of long term cost (16" tyre being cheaper) and the fact currently 16" tyres being more common in small towns and places were it is really handy to not have to wait for a tyre to be ordered in.

And they look tough

Also considering some not too aggesive muddies I'm pretty good on tyres so should get 65-70,000 kmsout of them.

Maybe I'm dreaming.

I know a few with the FC2's and nothing but praise. On big fat pootrols too, and getting good life from them so I don't think you'll have a problem on the JK.

Maxxis Bighorns.

If you're doing a lot of highway miles as opposed to short stop start runs you'll get great wear out of them.

My set has now done 60k and still around 40% left.
