We just put 33" FC 2's on the JK with procomp wheels 16" and fit is good, ride is good and everyone i spoke to about the tyres is really pleased with them.
The wife is quite pleased with her baby's new look.

I had a set of 33's in the Dick Cepek (Mickey Thompson) FC2's, got 105,000 out of them. They are an EXCELLENT tyre!

Have a mate who bought some 33's for his Pootrol, he got the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. They lasted 70,000k's and that was travelling around Central Australia on some of the toughest tracks on tyres in the country ( Gibb River Road etc etc).

That's why I went the MTZ's, in Tassie should get about 80,000 out of them if I look after them!

Hmmm tough choices.
really considerng muddies now. I'm moving a little futher out of melbourne in a month and a bit, so the tyres will see 50km of highway a day.

The maxxis seem to also get good reviews, But i have been offered Dunlop Grandtrek MT2 in 265/75/16 at $230 a tyre.

any seen in these in action/had these before?

Get 5" backspacing not 4.25". It will give you more room than stock inside but not sit outside the guards. It is not as big an increase in track width either.

My wife has ATZ's (five rib) on her XJ, Done around 15k's with no noticeable wear. Awsome on road and very quiet. Great in the sand and heaps of traction on dirt/gravel.. One of the best..
