Default Oil filter adapter

Only question I have left is is this the old large O ring? I replaced the 2 smaller ones on the bolt but there was no large O ring on the adapter. There is a old hard stiff thing that looks like it used to be an O ring still on the engine block side. I took it off. I'm assuming that's the old O ring

It was almost like brittle plastic. I removed it and placed the new one in. It must of
Just got stuck on the block.

It was the same Size as the O Ring.

I put it back on spanner tight and then gave it half a turn with the breaker bar.

good effort i had mine done today - gave in and went to local mechanic, large seal was same brittle and hard, other seals were not as bad but had hardened as well.

Not sure if it has been mentioned in the thread. But once you have done the seals pull out your starter motor and clean out the dry oil from inside it. I found out too late and mine shorted out before I learnt that they need to be cleaned as the leaking filter adapter leaks oil into the SM.

Yep had planned on that, recently (about 6 months ago) put a new one on, it had destroyed my old one, so another job this weekend
