Why I don't like plastic tank radiators...
Yesterday we took a run to the tip and then on to Bunnings, reasonably warm day but not too bad, locked the Jeep and got about 5m away and BOOM!!!!!
A quick call to RACQ and it was ready to head home....
So much for a quick tip run!!!

Turns out the fans were turned off so it was running pretty hot, normally I am pretty good at guage monitoring but somehow I missed it.
So what went wrong???
Check this out...
The replacement radiator is a copper cored brass tanked unit....
There must have been a weakness in the plastic as the cap didn't let go...

Hey JJ. Sorry to hear about your Rad . I'm not a fan of plastic tanked radiators . Just been shopping for a new one myself. Saw my local Adrad dealer for a copper and brass one. He didn't want to sell me one stating he had just sold six of em and five had come back under warranty . Got another brass copper one off him. Looks much better and stronger. 3 core . Bigger stronger filler neck and the Auto cooler line goes through the cold side tank. Made by ADR . Part No. JEE 31120.

The one I fitted is of unknown brand although it does have a small filler neck which is a pain to fill, time will tell if it works as well cooling wise as the old one did which was a recored copper/plastic unit.
Rustynuts, I'd love to see a pic of this beast plus what sort of $$ was it?
