Default Where could you pitch tent, and never want to leave?

We all have our dreams of escaping ordinary life to chill out someplace away from routine and the crazy speed of life.

What would your top 5 permanent escapes be (subject to seasons and your supplies/setup)? Imagine if you could just pitch your favourite tent and camping gear, and stay off grid for some time?

Mine in general, would be:

1. Flinders/Gammon Ranges
2. Lake Eyre region
3. Dalhousie Springs
4. Cape Le Grande NP
5. Snowy Mountains

It is difficult to be specific, and to shortlist.

I have a few favorites in the Vic high country. A couple of them had not seen people for years & I doubt that any one other than me has been in there since I found them. Having a dark green Jeep its very hard to be spotted in the bush.

Any place that I don't have to put up with bogans in Nissan Patrols or 76 Series LCs.

I do love the Vic High country or even the Southern Highlands though as a get away.

Too many places..to name just one is impossible.

The world is so bloody gorgeous. I’m exploring some parts of Chile atm, surrounded by 20,000ft snow capped mountains, raging white waters, horse riding, motor bikes, wineries, walks, blah blah blah..
