Did my first fill after the valve repair. Managed to fill 50 L in 75 seconds. No click off until the tank was full. First time I've been able to fill the car normally since new. So far, so good. Fingers crossed. Will have two fill up opportunities for further testing this weekend.

Have now filled up 4 times, and not a problem on any fill. Car seems to take fuel as fast as pump can deliver it. Looks like a good fix. Not brave enough to try fast flow bowser though

Nunawading did the fix. Apparently there is a note on the "Chrysler site" and I think Chrysler supplied some parts. Must be a site visible only to dealers.

Thanks for info on this forum...
I have a JK 4 Door CRD and have had the slow refill problem since picking it up new in Jul 07. Dealer has not been able to rectify the problem after being back to them more times than I can remember. As I plan doing a few LONG trips, I decided to install the Longranger Aux fuel tank. Happy to say this appears to have fixed the issue. Filled it up from empty (153l) and didnt click off until 140l mark. I know its an expensive fix, but given the added benefits it was worthwhile for me....

well done aja88. unfortunately it is the only guaranteed total solution. stevil's fix is the only other alternative fix, but he says himself that there will still occasionally be problems. as you have probably noticed, because of the filler design, about third goes initially to sub tank and two thirds to main tank, on a partial fill and it is a simple matter to transfer the remainder from one to the other. happy jeeping.
