Like the tube flares on that CJ, good cage all round too just need to drop that cross bar behind the seats to the floor.
Chris,if it was a bolt in piece that covered bothe the diagional and harnes issues you would be on a winner, all sounds like you're on the right track.
Seal it all good and tight, drill through tubes where thay intersect, add a couple of air fittings in the right place and you have a sizeable onboard air tank.

Ok here's a few 2005 pics that sort of show it with the tyre mounted on it:

And some from 2006 where I ran the rear tyre carrier instead:

The rear legs got the floor, but the front legs mount on top of the wheel wells.
It's one VERY tight fit and takes about 15minutes of jiggling to get the unbolted cage in/out and each time it's kindly removed a little more paint But it has been a good solution for us.

Thanks Wooders. So the removable section has another main hoop , cross brace and harness bar with a tyre carrier. I has 4 points, two off the tyre carrier bolting into the rear floor and two that are fron the (2nd) main hoop that bolt to the floor behind the front seats? Are the two cages connected in any way? Seems like your running factory seats. How does this work with the harness's. Dont they slip off the sides?

BTW what are these two bars there for? Just added strength?

Yes effectively it is a seconardy rollbar with an extra main hoop.
It does not attach to the remained of the cage in any way. Similar concept to where you'll see a ute with an internal and external (in the tray) rollcages.
Those are not 2 extra bars...infact I'm trying to remember what the firetruck they are...

Yes I still run the factory seats.
The harness do sort of slip of the shoulders - but you'll also notice I have a cargo barrier ther and this has cutouts which help hold the harnesses in position ... and once strapped in you don't go ANYWHERE

Oh yeah in the design the rear stays were supposed to be flatted - but in the rush to get it finished the leg positions where confused and now are steeper than I would have ideally preferred...but hey it's still just withing the guidlines of aloowable angles etc ....
