the guy I bought my dismantled D44 (with Ford EA disc brakes), had been fitted to an XJ for many years, said he never changed the original XJ Master Cyl

knew his XJs inside out, was an ex-mechanic

yeah need to do that. theyre not spinning true at the moment. Ill probably buy new ones....
driveshaft rebalance will be more than a used unit, depends on damage
$100-200 (ring them)...wrecker probably 50-70

i got my drums machined $25 each, new linings about the same

the best thing I did was then set the drums with a set of outside calipers to the same diameter, dont rely upon self-adjusters!

have a look at go-jeeps website how he made the parts for a disc conversion

its a big shame photobucket has fkd a lot of other sites

I got the Falcon front kit, as stated previous the bloke is a ********. found it on ebay.

i use 16" explorer rims.

Can't catch a break! And now my alloys I got have a huge buckle Don't worry Hamish one day soon you will have the XJ of your dreams it might not have every accessory on it ........ BUT! You will have the Satisfaction of knowing every nut and bolt We all have gone through this in one way or another ....you have to be lucky to get a perfect XJ they are getting on but parts are plentiful and cheap and they are easy to work on
