1st pic shows the drawing.
2nd pic is the rockers. Green arrows show the backing plate holes where the rocker holes at the red arrows will bolt to. There's a nice flat section under the door frame that this fits nicely - should clamp the body perfectly. I'll countersink bolts so it's flush on the outside. The yellow arrows point to the body mount slots - I'll need to cut 5mm off the bottom of the body mounts where these will fit into.
3rd pic is the bend template I made from the drawings - the bends were something odd like 35 degrees and 55 degrees so this helped get the right bend angles.
The other holes are just to reduce weight in non critical areas. Every bit of weight reduction helps.
Costs: about $300 for the 5mm plate, cutting time ($180/hr) and the 4 bends. Another $24 for the pipe that'll make up the step. Maybe another $25 between bolts & nuts, mig gas, wire, etch primer and paint.
That $350's not much cheaper than the Smittybuilt rockers but I've got 25mm more sill clearance, a one-off rocker and IMO, it just looks better
I'll post up some pics when they're finished and bolted up. I can probably draw them up for no BL and 1.25" BL too if that helps. Also, if enough people were interested, i could get a bunch made up at the same time..
