I am wanting to put in a switch where i can turn off the interior lights when i leave my doors open when i go camping.
I had this set up in my XJ & it was so handy. I could leave my tailgate up or a door open always & not get a flat battery & not attract moths & bugs.
Has anyone of you done something like this??? & if so guide me in the right direction to find the wiring Please.
My interior lights end-up staying on forever (or maybe just a very long time.) even with the indicator in "O" while camping.
Might be due to a fault in mine, haven't troubleshooted properly. Just know that if we randomly open and close the doors and/or boot while camping, the lights end-up coming on at some point and seem to stay on.
Having any doors or the bonnet open also puts a fair-bit of drain on the battery, even after the shutdown period. Some modules seem to stay powered-up indefinitely reporting the "door open" status.
Was planning to put something together to fake everything being shut.
