Default WH Front Diff Bushes

Adding to my current front prop shaft woes, I have now discovered the front diff bushes on my WH CRD a fully kaput. Infact I think there is even no rubber left in them. Probably what added to the CV in the propshaft chewing out I would say. So has anyone attempted the font diff bushes themselves on a WH? Hear its a real PITA.

Dealer replaced mine when it was VERY new (under 30k klm). It was the first they'd done, and said it was a bastard of a job. They needed it for two days.

Now, make of that what you will, because we all know how much the ability of dealer mechanics varies!

I just discovered that mine were torn in the accident as well. The front diff mount one and the one above the pinion. Going to change them out myself but ordering in the isolators from the US as much cheaper than trade here. The diff mount one though are on back order over there. Two of the isolators are the same and $105 each trade. The front mount on the diff just bolts off and on and is $190.65. Trade prices for both here at the local dealer.
Was going to cut away the remaining rubber and slice the metal sleeve with a airsaw in a couple of places carefully to get it out. There is a proper pressing tool for it so strange the dealer didn't use that? Looks like a big G clamp with matching cups for the isolator sleeve and mount housing.
To fit the new ones, have them in a freezer for a couple of days and then quickly hammer in.

I know i am a bit late to the party, but apparently the WH is the first Independent Front end for the Jeep and the design means the bushes flog out after around 40,000km.... and to replace them is a real hassle with the Jeep mechanic having done a lot telling me its a 6 hour job to replace $100 worth of bushes..... ouch

There is a video on you tube that shows how to do it, remember watching it a while ago.
You will need a hoist preferably though.

It took me about 6 hour's to do mine in my garage, it was my first attempt with basic hand tools. A work shop should be able to do it in 3 hours.

Obviously this guy isn't a Jeep mechanic or he might have heard of the KJ Cherokee! Came out in 2001, independent front end
Most bush's last 100,000 to 150,000km I wouldn't say its a bad design if that's what was being suggested.
If this is from a Jeep mechanic I'd be looking else where
