Default Radio Reception

Is the radio reception - fm, am and dab, bad on all GC or is it peculiar to my my15 Laredo?

The DAB reception is quite pathetic in Perth - even with the Upmarket Overland unit and multiple complaints to FCA including upgrades to the head unit firmware throughout the warranty period.

Won't be conned about the great DAB (or FCA support) again.

I know about the dab reception as I love up in the hills. Just surprised about am reception in the country and fm to a lesser extent.

No problems for me here in Tasmania, we don’t have DAB in the state as yet and I have no idea if they are planning on switching it on anytime soon. The AM and FM stations seem to work well, apart from a few areas where the mountains block every car I have ever owned.

I have given up on DAB when driving. Any overpass will block the signal. Even in home I find DAB a bit of a pain. AM seems fine in my Limited but I never listen to FM and I rarely listen to AM in the country - I can't be bothered finding stations and I don't need a stock report...

Cheers

Like to listen to the ABC sometimes but reception is rubbish. Noticed that the my15 v17.43.01 Uconnect update includes - audio for strong am stations. Could this be my answer? I have version 15.06.1.

So you have a roof platform or tent up there? My reception was noticeable different even in the city when I put my platform and/or tent on the roof.
