Now, although I'm new to this vehicle, my brother in-law was the first owner and I know he just got in and drove it. In other words, what's there is standard.

The plastic structure under the seat looks purpose made but not a good use of space in the Limited Diesel. I like the idea of compressor storage but with limited 4x4 duty expected maybe not necessary for me.

If the plastic box and wires can be moved to free up space for a secondary battery or a power inverter I think that would be good.

I'm leaning towards the inverter if cables can be run easily from main battery under drivers seat.

The circuit diagrams show the various things that can live there, its no secret... Mine has the TCM, the diagram points out some other stuff can be found there depending on the model.............

I wouldn't run anything extra off the battery and certainly not an inverter off the main battery, alternator and battery have enough things sucking on them.

As I work from my car, a small inverter to keep a laptop charged is all that's required. Not looking at running a coffee machine or similar high powered electronics.

I have a small 400w laptop inverter myself plug it in and run while driving but I don't have it on when engine stopped, I would forget about it.
