Unless you are being an a$$hole, you'd have to be unlucky to be done, but thems the rules
I'll bet an inch off my old fella there's a rule about how far forward of the headlights you can have spotties too - and that you (and me) are in breach of that as well.

At the end of the day there's probably a bit of leeway.
A Commodore with 6 spotties and A-pillar lights would get a bit more attention though.

Do you guys not have mallcrawlers or bro trucks over there? Every time i go to the mall (very seldom) or even walmart or the sorts there is always the dude in the parking lot just blaring music in his truck/jeep/whatever lifted about 600 feet in the air. They're never trail rigs ever. Normally lifted on like 9" blocks, and assume they will 'tear you up' offroad because they have more lift and bigger tires. I just roll my eyes and try to avoid them.

As for the lights on the pillar, i'm not sure why people do that. I've seen it mostly on Wranglers, but it seems as you've mentioned the fad is catching onto XJs as well. Personally, i wouldn't put them there as i think they're ugly - but to each their own.

I was going to put a light bar on my roof with 4 PIAA lights on it, but after realizing i could buy a 50" LED Light bar for like $400 i'm going to go with that when i get some extra money. Plan on mounting it right on the top of my windshield with some sort of homemade mount.

Still debating whether i should put two PIAA fog lights on my front bumper light bar or just run like a 20" LED Light bar on that, and then like two single 10" bars on each side of it.

Default 'A' pillar lights

I don't mind the look of them, was toying with the idea of swapping an led light bar onto the front and putting my lightforce HID spotties up there, probably with the pencil covers back on them.
Authorities would definitely frown upon it though if they were "impeding driver view".
Not many making the mounts any more I find...
