Just came back from crossing the Simpson and the doing the K1 & Warburton & Inside Tracks in the mix....Mate with a WH Grand had his reflashed and a new actuator fitted before heading out..Was told that he'd be perfectly ok but first sand dune back came the "Service 4WD System" (No use pulling the fuse all the way across at every dune). He continued in High Range with the ESP when turned fully off coming back on as track speed increased and fighting against Traction Control ..Pain in the butt.. He's had enough so he's getting rid of his Grand and never buying another Jeep after having several...Another lost customer

Default Still faulty

I forgot to add in my previous post that I took the bulletin with me and highlighted the areas on it that are important re the battery charger and placed the bulletin right in front of the speedo so it couldn't be missed.
Regards Chris

After my new actuator and software update (done by Ozjeepster in Coffs) I told the Jeep rep (that came to my NCAT court mediation) that I wanted confirmation that this latest update had fixed the problem. He emailed back that my vehicle had been repaired back to original WH factory specifications.!!He also stated verbally( and witnessed ) that if low 4x4 broke down anywhere in OZ he would arrange for free towing etc to nearest dealer.
I found the only way to get sense out of FC was a letter of demand and take them to the tribunal. Legally FC are liable for all our out of pocket expense relating to this N23 debacle. The tribunal judge will not close my case until I am sure this problem has been fixed. So far around 150 cycles in out low and OK. However do I trust it,NO .
NB if anybody wants a copy of my letter of demand to FC or the Jeep reps name and phone number email me on lizbaz10@gmail.com.Simply put ,sometimes being nice will get you nowhere!!

Right about the Letter of demand...Only way..Go see a legal beagle and get it done correctly..Costs about $300 but worth it and coming from a Solicitor carries weight and indicate your serious and a time limit like 14 days for a satisfactory answer or you'll proceed with court action....To quote the Jeep slogan "Don't hold back"

Hey Wanderer,
When did your mate have his car reflashed, was it after 29/7/14?

Some of the Commander guys have had new FDCMS fitted. Interesting to know why,
eg is it a failure of the 7/29 software update.?

Not sure but I know he didn't have the latest patch...Trouble is that it's a TSB so FC don't notify you and only apply it if you go back to a Jeep dealer and complain...Considering the N23 debacle itshould be a recall.
