I also pulled apart all the cross pins, 3 per latch and loctited them, mine were barely tight and don't want them vibrating loose.

It's a bit hit and miss on the balljoints, I've done a 113,000ks and still on the original balljoints but know they've gotta be on their last legs so got new ones just in case.
didn't need to pull grill out just used a ring spanner, but did loctite the cross pins.

Finished the hard top hoist. Adjusted the ropes after they had been sitting with the load for a few days so it level again. Made up some bars to sit across the inside to stop the top spreading apart over time and use them as a shelf to store the front panels on. Without them on the top it now can go up higher. Have about 2.6m clearance under it now

Not a bad days work in 42°....

Wish I had room to store like that...I'm going to have to make a cradle with wheels for mine.

I just picked up a spare hood for my JK.....planning on cutting it up for louvers and AEV snorkel......leaving my original hood untouched....
It was really cheap on Ebay....couldn't resist...and it was local for an easy pick up. The owner had bought it to do what I'm planning to do...then never got around to it, lol.

I am going to hack holes in my bonnet soon too,I have a NAVARA scoop to go on backwards to give the heat somewhere to go, I am testing the under bonnet temps on my diesel and they climb up tp 80 plus when I come to a stop. any thoughts on this?

Seacomms, that is an awesome man cave, one of the best, just needs a pizza oven and a spa.....

What did I do to my JK yesterday?
I broke the cat off the flange in Toolangi. Apart from the rattles it got home ok.
