Default Wj 4.7 02 tapping under load

Any idea of what i should check my WJ has a tapping when under load (from drivers side) nothing when at idling or revving engine at ideal only when i drop down a gear when accelerating.

Its just has an engine rebuild 2000 klm ago

Just wondering could this be a spark knock ive been running premium throw it.

Just tried octane boost

and did a scan nothing came up

It's a slim chance and I'm only throwing this out here just in case it's not actually the engine making the noise but something else.

It happened to me, I misdiagnosed, went on for a while, and cost me some oil to end up working out it wasn't the engine after all. Turns out when I fitted the snorkel I made something rub on the chassis by not putting it back properly.

Yours is on the driver's side though, so it probably isn't the same thing that happened to me.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the reply i checked the evap today and the rubber mount looks like new i also tried running the jeep with it unplugged but still made the same noise.

Just tried to record it on gopro and nothing there does not get picked up im wondering if its something in the dash.

Exhaust manifold leak. Mine's doing it now. Motor was out recently for a rear main seal and I think the exhaust needs tightening up on the manifold again.

Check the easy stuff first ; )
