Default SatNav problem

On the way back to Melbourne from Hervey Bay, my SatNav decided it was in Queensland and would only accept Queensland addresses. On the way up to Hervey Bay it would happily allow me to enter a Queensland or NSW address from Victoria.

Even when we crossed the border into NSW it was still adamant it was in Queensland and would not allow me to change to any other state or input an address from any state other than Queensland.

It will allow an address from somewhere other than Queensland if it is in the "Recent" list...

If I try to change the state it will not allow it and if I tap Queensland it asks for a country and if I enter "N" it says Namibia...

Anyone else had this stupidity?

Any solution???

Cheers

You can change States using voice command. Mine went like that about 2 years ago after they did an update. after 2 years of a software fix will be out next month they replace the uconnect with a newer model.

Thanks, tasjeep.

So, what do I have to say to it to get it to change states?

I have tried every swear word I know, and nothing has helped...

Cheers

You say 'Navigate to 123 Random Street, Random Suburb, New South Wales', however it has been fixed in the latest uConnect upgrade, which you will have to visit your dealer to have installed.

The bug fix has been tested on a KL, so I assume that that means also on the WK2.

Thanks, guys. The phone usually comes up with some random number whenever I have tried to get it to call someone by voice control. I say "Call Home" and it says, "Calling Sylvia" or something.

The car is booked in for the 20,000 km service on Thursday so I will see what they come up with.

Cheers

You're not using the Phone button on your steering wheel for nav instruction are you? Hope not - that won't work. VR button (one in the middle) for Nav.
