Default Need help- mygig pin unlock

I purchased a 2nd hand mygig RHP unit for my 2016 CRD that requires a 4 digit pin to unlock. When powered it displays the message ‘Enter Security Code:’ then displays the units serial number.
The unit was legitimately purchased. I have the Vin from the vehicle it was removed from (2015 JK) etc etc. The original owner told me that when he installed the unit purchased from his dealer he just powered it up, no pin was required.
I’ve contacted my Jeep dealer who I purchased my vehicle from, but they are unable/know nothing/can’t help.
Any ideas on how to unlock this unit?

All the dealer has to do is enter the VIN from the Jeep it was removed from into the Jeep database and it should give them the required code.

I used to do this for Fords I've owned in the past, there is no reason why Jeep should be any different.

Thats what I tell them, but they still have no idea how to. I’m starting to think that the Australian dealers have limitation to their access, even though they claim full site access. That’s the only excuse that I can think of. Even tried justanswers, who connected me a Jeep tech. He was unable to help. And guess where he comes from.....yep, Brisbane. He suggested a utube video of a company who state they can supply the code, for a fee. Not happy Jan!!!!

Finally found a dealer who actually wanted to have a go at the problem. In 5 minutes they had the code. After some teething problems, the MyGig 730 RHP sat-nav is up and running. Very happy now. Only took 2 days to sort out.

Good to hear you finally had a win. Good Jeep dealers seem to be few and fair between.

I've found most don't want anything to do with you if they aren't going to make money if they help you.
