I trimmed it right back and then filled it with a plate.

Hey wilsonjeep...saw your pics...many thanks. I will be getting a mate to do the same to mine.
Heaviest thing I tow is a 2004 Aussie Swag camper. It does not have the fridge box on it so fridge is in the Jeep. I reckon the modded hitch will be okay for this but nothing heavier. Thanks greatly for your help.

Hi again folks, just realised that the 2" lift kit TJM fitted may bugger up my 245 75 17 plans. The fact that the EFS kit includes a new strut. Kind of looks like the new tyres might be okay. Hard to tell though. An extra inch space needed upwards over the standard tyres which are on it now and in the pic. My concern is the inner wall of the tyre rubbing against the strut.

Does anyone have the 2" EFS lift with 245 75 17's on standard GC rims??

Imposable for the tyre to rub against the strut, the suspension upright is between the tyre & the strut no matter the brand.
245/75/17 tyres on stock rims fit fine with only slight rubbing as mentioned earlier, the top ball joint will look close but cannot hit.

These are the 2 factory styles that came on Aussie Grands

These rims with 245/70/17's are okay.
