Ran the wiring for the work/camp lights through the roof rack, tomorrow I'll wire it up to a switch, I was considering wiring them up to reverse as well (switchable) but don't need all that light when reversing. I can always put in a DPDT switch to handle that later anyway.

Here they are testing the cabling on a motorbike battery in the back.

Wiring at the lights going into the roof rack, I drilled two 8mm holes, one for each.

And coming out at the base of the rack near the pivot, from here it run under the Jeep and into the back to connect up to a switch in the rear off of the second battery.

Still need to add the split pipe over the cable to protect it.

Cheers
Steve

I purchased a few items to service my 545rfe in anticipation of doing it over Christmas holidays from my favourite retailer, Amazon.

Wix filter kit 58843
B&m drain plug 80250
Permatex 82180

Came to $70 aud posted which I thought was pretty good. Was thinking of buying atf+4 too but postage is a killer. Bursons sell nulon stuff for $49 of 4l which isn't too bad.

I will add the drain so it's very easy to change fluid in the future. Probably not a good as a flush but after a few goes the fluid will be much newer. Interesting to read a few people reckon flushes should be avoided.

Did an oil change and fitted up a rear TeraFlex diff cover. Took about a 1hr all up.

Please ignore the state of the undercarriage - Got a detail booked in for this week and will be repainting it all.

Added a Oscar Mike star to the bonnet and rear, just a bit of fun bling really but like the look.

Flashed in the GDE Eco tune....simply F&@k me!!
What a difference, not only in torque but also throttle lag is just about gone (who'd pay $300 for sprintbooster??) The off the mark acceleration is definitely improved but the most noticeable improvement is the mid-high rpm torque.
Used to frustrate me that from cruising, nail the throttle and when it kicked back and revved up, all you seem to get was noise and delay as at that rpm there was no more torque. Now though, it actually pulls at those higher rpms and you really feel the difference.
Might need some Samco hoses next, thanks Stu and Murchison Products.
Matt.

AEV 2.5 kit and a couple of other bits
Installed it yesterday and much happier with the ride
I was running the TJM springs which I picked up cheap second hand these have been good very comfortable but have done a lot of work standard shocks had given up so I went with a full kit
While I was under there I removed the sway bar and stripped and inspevted the motor despite my water proofing water was in the gear housing looks like it had come through the seals on the bar itself so cleaned all the crap and surface rust out oil it up and put it back together
